BIGFORK ANGLERS GUIDED FLY FISHING FLOAT TRIP NECCESSITIES
In Montana they say "if you don't like the weather then wait five
minutes". This saying isn't far from the truth. Even in the middle
of summer we can have temperature fluctuations of more than 50 degrees
in a 24 hour period. The fish are always cold and wet, but you don't
have to be if you come prepared.

Fishing Equipment:
Our guides come prepared with all the fly fishing equipment you'll need for a successful outing. If you have your own, we recommend rods, reels, and line in the 4-6wt range all 9' in length. We like a 4wt for precision dry fly work, a 5wt for big dry dropper rigs and nymphing, and a 6wt for heavy nymphs and streamer fishing. Floating lines are all we use with the occasional sink tip for streamer fishing. All flies and terminal tackle are provided by our guides.
