Owner, outfitter, guide, and shop manager - Jason Lanier has been fly fishing Montana rivers for over 20 years and has been guiding Montana fly fishing trips for 11 years. With guiding experience on over a dozen Montana rivers Jason has guided just about every hatch Montana has to offer.

Jason started fly fishing in the 1st grade and tying flies shortly after. He spent many of his childhood summers traveling around Montana fly fishing anything that held fish. After high school Jason moved to Montana to fish, ski, and attend college (in that order). After receiving a B.S. from the University of Montana he decided a drift boat was much better than a desk and continued to pursue his passion. Over the years Jason has made the transformation from shop dog, to fishing guide, to commercial fly designer, to outfitter fly shop owner.

Jason is an inventor of many productive trout flies that have fooled fish on rivers across the country. Montana Fly Company produces Jason's flies and many fly shops carry his proven patterns.
